CCEL Navigation Hints

• Click a triangle in the Table of Contents to expand or contract an entry (IE)
• Use Pg Up/Pg Dn keys or up/down arrow keys to scroll
• Use left/right arrow keys to go to the previous or next page (IE)
• Use shift-left to go back, shift-up to go to the table of contents (IE)
• Click a page icon to see an image of the page (if available)
• To search a book, go to the Table of Contents, then click About...

Note that some of these work only with Internet Explorer. They are marked (IE).

I have recently learned that Netscape also doesn't handle the id="..." attribute the way they are supposed to according to the standards. So, the links in the TOC and indexes jump to the bottom of the page instead of the appropriate place on the page. For now, the books "work best" in Internet Explorer. Hopefully that will change when Netscape comes out with version 6.

Help in making the utility functions compatible with Netscape Navigator as well would be much appreciated! The file is http://www.ccel.org/ss/util.js
